and yes that should mean something to you... if you have a obsession for horror movies like me : )
That song "Welcome To The Strange" was used on the soundtrack to "Freddy vs Jason".... anything??? well i guess im the
only strange one here.
Murderdolls began as 'The Rejects' first formed by Joey... and yes this was before he became a part of SlipKnot! The
band had many problems to begin with, changing lineups like they change their hairstyles... hehe im retarted.
Then he recruited Wednesday who started off as a bass player, but by bringing so many new songs into the mix eventually
became the lead singer!
They recieved respect for their glam-metal looks, inspired by the 80's. To take a quote from the band :
"What the fuck is going on with all these bands that look normal? Maybe that's why kids identify with them, because
they can look like these guys, but I'm from a different school—If it didn't look cool, I didn't fucking buy it.
i completely agree.... except for when these bands happen to have hot members... but I suppose they wouldn't look at
them like that.
If you havent heard their music before, I shall help out, with another quote straight from the band:
"There are a lot of songs — like "Die My Bride," "Slit My Wrist" and "Dead In Hollywood" — that have a very
metal-esque influence to them, as well as just being punk, glam-metal, blood and guts rock 'n' roll. It's all very trashy,
too, just like the people that are in the band…"
Well... that didnt really help the slightest, but to put it plainy itz just a whole lot of Fuck You, Kill You, Zombie
shit with great catchy tunes and lyrics... I LUV IT!
The most important thing to remember is not to take their music seriously. They grew up in a boring place so without
any interesting life experiences to draw from the lyrics come from their obsession with horror movies.
So when he sings:
"I'd rather cut you then the wedding cake, and your blood and guts on my rented tux... And i do i do i do wanna kill
you..."
It doesnt mean that hes goin to go off and kill his wife.
If you love horror movies, screaming + sick lyrics you will love this band!
